Engimplan Implant Engineering
A STORY TO BE TOLD .
With DNA and Brazilian talent, Engimplan Implant Engineering is a company of orthopedic implants sector, established in February 28, 1992 to meet demand from two of Rio Grande do Sul doctors who needed national replacement product for an imported textile mesh used in ligament surgery.
The idea was to develop in Brazil a product with the same quality and to replace the similar imported.
The need identified by these doctors was attended by the mechanical engineer and also physical José Tadeu Leme, who developed and produced the material in a first plant, which was later incorporated into the Engimplan and moved to Rio Claro (SP), a city located 190 km São Paulo, the second company in the implant industry to settle in this city.
The first steps of the company were given by José Tadeu Leme, who was responsible for designing, producing and selling products that had developed, always with the support and assistance of his wife, Sylvia.
The success of these efforts has allowed the growth of Engimplan, hiring employees of the first and the beginning of maxillofacial line, the first segment to be 100% made in Brazil.
Visionary entrepreneur, José Tadeu Leme realized that despite the growth in demand for maxillofacial implants, there were no firms using titanium as a raw material in implants in Brazil.
Joseph Thaddeus rudder again used their intuition and invested in the innovative use of titanium, biocompatible material considered the best option for the production of orthopedic implants. In a scenario dominated by technology, machinery, raw materials and imported projects, Engimplan earned through the quality of its products, its place in the orthopedic implant market.
The Brazilian industry of medical implants industry has little more than three decades and Engimplan accompanied the last two national investing in technological development, staff training and the search for quality and reliability materials.
Currently the Engimplan develops, produces and distributes implants and surgical instruments for Brazil and Latin America along the lines of maxillofacial, spine, trauma and ligament. .
