French Society of Spinal Surgery FSSS - SFCR

Created in 2004 with 40 founding members ( download history ), the  SFCR  has experienced constant development over the past decade, with 450 active members to date. It is, more than ever, representative of the spinal surgical community in France, both neurosurgical and orthopedic.

The last Strasbourg congress (13-15 June 2019) reflects this progression with more than 430 participants and 49 exhibitors. The  mission of the SFCR  is to promote by all available means the acquisition, dissemination and exchange of knowledge in spinal pathology in all its aspects. It will thus favor:

  • Support for young spine surgeons in their fundamental or clinical research projects by granting financial aid in the form of grants.
  • Training and education with:

- The   spine surgery IUD

- The traveling fellowship

- The establishment  of a cycle of practical workshops  allowing interns and heads of clinics to apply their theoretical training.

- Organization of  specific training  for FDIs and IBODEs
