Korean Knee Society KKS - KOA Sub-Specialty Society
Founded in 1983 at the suggestion of Jung Man Kim, Sang Chel Seong, Jin Whan Ahn, and Yong Bok Jung, the Korean Knee Society works to promote partnership and research, while providing education and practice management services for members. . The meetings are held every spring and fall annually and 430 members are active currently in 2006. . The president is Sung Won-Sohn. The official journal of Korean Knee Society has been published twice a year since 1988 and the chair of the editing board is Woo Shin Cho. . International Total Knee Arthroplasty Workshop was held with guests, Dr. Joe Miller and Kim C. Bertin in Hilton Hotel on 19 may 1986 and International Congress of Arthroscopy Seminar on Operative Arthroscopy was held in Seoul from 5 to 9 Oct. . in 1988. . Also, Second International Congress of the Knee and Orthopedic Sports Medicine Section of WPOA was held from 3 to 6 Jul. 1991 successfully. .
