Korean Orthopaedic Pain Society - KOPS - KOA Sub-Specialty Society
The Korean Orthopaedic Pain Society was founded on September, 2009. The founding members were Drs. Kwang-Jin Rhee and Jung-Man Kim. The role of the Korean Orthopaedic Pain Society is to study and develop any non-operative treatment methods related with musculoskeletal disorders as well as interventional procedures to reduce pain and to improve functional outcomes. The Korean Orthopaedic Pain Society meetings are held four times a year including one cadaver workshop. This meeting has been the best chance to learn various non-operative orthopaedic treatment methods to surgeons and also, it promotes contacts and knowledge sharing with other department physician treating musculoskeletal pain disorders. Currently, Dr. Sung-Jae Kim serves as a president.
