Portuguese Arthroscopic and Sports Trauma Association PASTA - APAT - SPAT
On 30 October 1993, on the initiative of a group of orthopedic (Drs. Antonio Carvalhais Figueiredo, José Beça, João Mendonça, John Espregueira Mendes, Mario Montes, Ernesto Moura, Artur Pereira de Castro, António Lemos, Herminio Loureiro, António Sampaio, Rufino de Freitas, José Castro Ribeiro, Vasco Baptista, Jose Pinto Noronha, José Lourenço, Antonio Rosemary Seabra, José Romero, Carlos fence and Francisco Silva Santos), all of them geared to arthroscopy, decided to create a non-profit association, designated by the Portuguese Association of Arthroscopy (APA). This orthopedic group considered essential to the existence of a national body involved in arthroscopy that could represent Portugal at International level. Then, on February 28, 1994, by public deed, in Notary Office of Porto, it was incorporated Portuguese Association of Arthroscopy (APA). This association would aim to contribute to the dissemination of arthroscopy technique in Portugal.
