Puerto Rican Society of Orthopedics and Traumatology PRSOT - SPOT Sociedad Puertorrique
The Puerto Rican Society of Orthopedics and Traumatology ( SPOT)) is a society that is at the forefront of associations of medical specialties. From its year of creation in 1967 to the present, it has been evolving and growing robustly. It has 129 members throughout the island and includes all specialties: hand, sports medicine, upper limb, shoulder, trauma, spine, oncology, reconstructive and pediatric. It is a participatory society and represented in various organizations, such as the Puerto Rico Medical Association (CMPR), the Medical Association of Puerto Rico (AMPR), the American Academy of Orthopedics Surgeons (AAOS), the Latin American Society of Orthopedics and Traumatology (SLAOT), the CMS Advisory Committee (CAC), the residence of Orthopedics of the Medical Sciences Campus, the Olympic Committee of Puerto Rico, as well as sports teams of different levels (amateur and professional). The SPOT is located in the building of the Medical Association of Puerto Rico.
