Salvadoran Association of Orthopaedics and Traumatology SAO
The Salvadoran Association of Orthopedics and Traumatology (ASOT) is a non-profit non-governmental organization with its own legal status, a subsidiary of the Medical College of El Salvador.
Its main objective is to supervise the practice of medicine in the specialty of Orthopedics and Traumatology of the locomotor apparatus in its scientific, ethical, educational and work aspects; for which it does not have a legal framework but a moral one, given by its members.
The members of the Association are all medical specialists in Orthopedics and Traumatology, whose training can be checked and they accept to voluntarily submit to the conditions of exercise of the medical specialty of a compulsory medical association. The Association establishes that all its members have the knowledge and capacity for the treatment of orthopedic and traumatological pathologies and that they practice their profession within the ethical framework established by the Medical Association of El Salvador and the Salvadoran Association of Orthopedics and Traumatology.
