Slovak Society of Orthopedics and Traumatology SSOT - SOTS
On the initiative of prof. MUDr. V. Chlumský, head of the first orthopedic clinic LFUK (founded in 1922), was convened on February 2, 1925 to establish a general assembly of orthopedists, surgeons and academic officials in order to establish the Czechoslovak Orthopedic Society. The meeting took place at the Orthopedic Clinic of the Faculty of Medicine in Bratislava on Hlboká cesta no. 7. The basic tasks of the new company were to bring together all those interested in conservative and surgical treatment of diseases and injuries of the musculoskeletal system, including orthopedic prosthetics and care for the disabled.
