Society Italian Microsurgery SIM

In 1978 some Italian enthusiasts of microsurgical technique, still in its infancy, were meeting in Brescia, under the pressure of Professor Giorgio Brunelli, leader of this discipline in Italy (the first Italian regimen of amputated limb performed by Brunelli dates back to 1973).
At this meeting the participants officially constituted the Italian Club of Microsurgery with the aim of promoting the diffusion of microsurgical techniques in Italy.
After a few years, and more precisely in 1981, the Italian club had a new statute and regulation and a real national society was founded: The Italian Society of Microsurgery .
